Important role in the production of building materials has a quality control. Requirements for the control of strength in the manufacture of concrete paving blocks will be increased with the introduction of quality management system according to EN ISO 9001. The article mentions the results of the surveys compressive strength and tensile splitting strength concrete pavement blocks using non-destructive testing, specifically impact hammer of Schmidt-type N and L. It is described the methodology of testing, evaluation of test results and are given the relationship between the rebound number and strength. From the evaluation of processed calibration relationship shows that are practically usable calibration relations for the determination of compression strength of the value of reflection, the correlation coefficient is higher than 0.9. Detection of tensile splitting strength from a rebound number is problematic because the calibration relations are in terms of practical use of a low coef
