Light-weight Fibre Reinforced Self Compacting Concrete
Original language description
The paper is concerned with the effect of synthetic and steel fibres on the properties of Lightweight Self Compacting Concrete (LWSCC) especially with the effect of fibres on LWSCC rheological properties, on the shrinkage in the initial stadium and on physico-mechanical properties of hardened LWSCC. The utilization of fibrous reinforcement is a new approach in the concrete technology and this paper describes the first results of research which is starting in this area. The experimental works which are described in the paper are based on the use of different fractions of the industrially manufactured Liapor lightweight aggregate in combination with natural aggregate. The results show that the impact of addition of different types of fibers is not the same with concretes using only light weight aggregate and concretes combining lightweight and natural aggregate. It can also be said that all used types of fibers can be used for technology of light weight vibrated concretes
