Original language description
During the coal mining and coal treatment great volumes of coal wastes are produced. The utilization of these wastes is up to now very limited. The coal wastes contain rather big content of combustibles. In the case of black coal wastes the content of combustibles is 10 - 20 % (mass), in the case of brown coal wastes the content of combustibles is in the range 15 - 30 % (mass). This paper informs about the results of works which were aimed to verify and by technological burnings confirm the possibilityof coal wastes utilization in the production of artificial sintered aggregates on the self-burning principle of the raw batch. The tests showed the optimal grain size composition of the raw blend, the range of the adequate combustible content in it and the properties of the artificial aggregate. In conclusion the test results of the artificial aggregates application in mortars and in concrete are presented.
