ANALYSIS OF CONTINOUS RAIL AT RAILWAY BRIDGE

  • Original language description

Presented paper deals with effect of thermal load applied on the railway bridge and continous rail. Both bridge and rail are curved. Curvature of rail causes transversal displacement which results in modification of normal forces. Problem can be analysedwith different attitudes. Analytical solution consist in numerical solution of system of differential equations. Interaction between railway bridge and ballast is difficult to be concerned. Finite element analysis reflects curvature of rail and railwaybridge. Interaction between bridge and ballast is transmitted by contacts. FEM model of a bridge was prepared in software ANSYS Analytical and FEM solution is shown. Results are shown in figures and graphs.
