The paper is focused on selected aspects of estimation of the extent and shape of the fracture process zone accompanying the quasi-brittle fracture in cementitious materials. The zone is determined based on an amalgamation of multi-parameter fracture mechanics, equivalent elastic crack approach and cohesive crack approach. An influence of the failure criterion chosen for the fracture process zone evaluation and an influence of the accuracy of the stress field approximation in the cracked body are also investigated in the paper. Some recommendations for the procedure of determination of the fracture process zone in application to cementitious composites are proposed.
