    Proposed paper describes results of dynamic experimental testing of a set of cantilever beams made of timber. Presented experimental work is part of the project which aim is development of methodology for damage identification of dynamically loaded structures. Beams were tested in undamaged state first and modal properties (eigenfrequencies and mode shapes) were evaluated. Subsequently, all specimens were cut in certain part and subjected to dynamic experimental testing again. The aim was to quantify the changes of modal properties when damage occurs at some position on the structure. This type of information will be used for consequent inverse analysis.
