Original language description
Development of computer hardware enabled in geotechnics an enormous need for research activities in developing and improving stochastic numerical models for simulation of soil-structure interaction. The efficient combination of advanced FEM for soil-structure interaction and probabilistic simulation approaches is the goal the project SISMO - Soil-structure Interaction Stochastic Modelling. Results of this project from both theoretical and practical point of view will be described. The aim is a complex probabilistic treatment of SOILIN software. The utilization of developed tools for both research and practical problems occurring in soil-structure interaction is demonstrated using selected example of a particular structure - petrol tank foundation.
