    Experimental analysis of parallel tunnels

  • Original language description

The contribution deals with study of response of rock mass during tunneling. Specifically, the analysis of two parallel circular tunnels is considered. The physical models are utilized by means of parametric study and the results are compared and evaluated. Physical models with and without a fault zone between tunnels were used. Another variable factor, which effect was monitored, was distance between tunnels. The realation between model surface displacement and excavated length of the tunnel and modelsurface deformation caused by tunnels collapse, which was monitored during the simulations, was used for mutual comparison of individual cases.
