TECHNOLOGICAL TUNNEL CENTRE - NUMERICAL ANALYSIS BY USING DIFFERENT CONSTITUTIVE MODELS
Original language description
Major issue when analyzing geotechnical structures by finite element method is a selection of constitutive models for given geological condition. The paper presents predictions by different soil constitutive model of behaviour of a deep excavation in overconsolidated clays (Technological centrum, Brno, Czech Republic). Three groups of constitutive models are used throughout the paper: Linear elastic - perfectly plastic model (Mohr-Coulomb model), Elasto-plastic models with nonlinear behaviour (HardeningSoil Model/Hardening Soil - small strain model) and Hypoplastic models (Hypoplastic model for fine grained soils - Masin, 2005). Models have been calibrated using laboratory experimental data. The numerical analysis is performed as 2D (Plaxis). A new hypoplastic model was implemented into this software. Predictions of different constitutive models were compared with inclinometer measurements recorded during the excavation of foundation pit. Hypoplastic model for clay, which was implemen
