Original language description
An advanced three-dimensional computation model of the system involving railway track structure and rail vehicle has been developed by using the environment of LS-DYNA program package based on the finite element method. Several partial problems have beenanalyzed in the course of developing the model, e.g. effects of various boundary conditions, effects of finite element dimensions, ways of modeling damping properties, propagation of deformation waves, approach in modeling bedding of sleepers, etc. Thedesigned approach of modeling the railway track structure has been used in the computer simulation of the locomotive motion at various speeds. Effects of selected railway track structure imperfections on the increase of dynamic response in the system have been analyzed.
