Influence of Water Curing Concrete on the Dynamic Modulus of Elasticity of Concrete for Bridge Constructions
Original language description
Modulus of elasticity is an important feature of concrete, especially, in the case of concrete designed for pre-stressed constructions, such as bridges. This elasticity characteristics is largely affected by a method of curing concrete, in particular during the first few days after concreting. This deals with just the above mentioned issue. Standardized methods - ultrasonic pulse velocity method and resonance method - were used for ascertaining the dynamic modulus of elasticity. The outcome has a form of graphic and tabular summary of the development of modulus of elasticity as depending on the way of curing concrete.
