Original language description
Four identical tanks for oil were erected in the Czech Republic during the last two years. Each tank has a capacity of 35 000 m3 of oil. The tanks have cylindrical shapes and they are covered with a dome spherical shell. The internal diameter of each tank is 47.8 m and the height of the oil level is 20.4 m above the foundation slab. The tanks are made of prestressed concrete and they are mutually connected with a reinforced concrete technological corridor. After completion, the group of four tanks willbe covered with earth.
