    According to Czech legislation, each person is bound to prevent waste production in his/her activity and to limit the volume and dangerous features of waste. If waste production cannot be prevented, the waste must be processed, eventually eliminated in away, which does not endanger human health and the environment. This act obviously prefers processing the waste before elimination.The article is focused on the observation of usable possibilities of waste polystyrene that is created during foundry production and that could be used for production of cellular construction material.
