Original language description
Natural insulating materials, mainly based on natural fibres, represent an interesting economic and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional thermal insulating materials such as mineral wool or foam-plastic substances. Due to the organic nature and open pore structure of natural fibres, it is important to understand the behaviour of these materials under different temperature and humidity conditions. The paper focuses on the study of the behaviour of thermal insulating materials based on natural fibres, originating in agriculture, depending on temperature and humidity of the environment to which they are exposed. This is particularly the study of thermal insulating hygroscopic properties of these materials and also the study of thermal insulating and diffusion properties (depending on moisture content and temperature).
