Temperature measurement in construction
Original language description
The hemp insulations are still viewed as unusual materials that are used only by ecological enthusiasts. Hemp insulations can be used for the constructions where mineral wool would be usually suggested but at the same time hemp insulations offer more agreeable environment in the interior. The Coefficient of thermal conductivity of the boards from hemp is from 0,035 to 0,050 [W.m-1.K-1] it depends on voluminal mass. The value of the coefficient of thermal conductivity decreases together with increasing voluminal mass of the material (the transfer of the heat is limited by the flow of the air in pore structure of the material).
