Wedge splitting test: Analýza vlivu proporcí válcového zkušebního tělesa na lomové parametry

  • Original language description

Wedge splitting test (WST) presents a useful experimental test for determination of fracture parameters for civil engineering materials, e.g. cement-based composites. In this paper, WST on cylinder-shaped specimens is analyzed, i.e. the testing configuration corresponds to a core drilled specimen. The numerical study is performed in the framework of linear elastic fracture mechanics using finite element method system ANSYS. The aim of the presented contribution is to find relationship between the specimen diameter and constant size of jaw groove and their influence on critical values of fracture parameters (stress intensity factor ? SIF and T?stress) during the laboratory measurement
