Určení pole napětí a deformací v okolí kořene trhliny v tělesech pro wedge-splitting test
Original language description
The work deals with a crack-tip stress field analysis during the wedge-splitting test (WST). The analysis is conducted on a 2D numerical model of the test specimen – an adapted standard cube with the edge length equal to 100 mm – using the ANSYS FE computational system. The influence of different boundary conditions (supports, loading) on the stress field in the specimen is investigated through approximation of the field by Williams power series; coefficients of several starting terms of the power series are studied as functions of the crack length (using three different mesh shapes). The main aim of authors is to identify the importance of the considered terms of the Williams series for the accuracy of the stress field description. Results of the study are expected to be utilized for estimation of the extent of the fracture process zone at the crack tip in quasi-brittle materials
