Aggregates effect on heat transfer properties: Numerical experiments
Original language description
This paper presents a non-traditional numerical solution of heat transfer problems being derived following the cellular paradigm. A general overview is provided together with specific examples of application to civil engineering problems, focusing on theeffect of aggregate types to heat transfer properties. The concrete microstructures topology is constructed by the cluster generator or extracted from photo documentation by means of proposed transfer algorithm. Partial verification is provided by the laboratory experiments. Examples also show the effect of aggregates type, amount or temperature dependent conductivity. The suggested approach may serve as a robust framework for modelling of arbitrary-complex transport properties of concrete.
