Original language description
The paper deals with the resistance of steel-concrete composite members composed of high-strength steels and concretes, in comparison with the resistance of steel-concrete composite members composed of normal-strength materials, respectively also in comparison with the resistance of the members with the same steel cross-section without concrete. The analysis of the resistance is based mainly on the experimenal verification of the actual behaviour, failure mechanisms and objective ultimate strengths. Thesubsequent theoretical analysis was mainly directed towards the design resistance determination using the philosophy of the design assisted by testing based on the statistic elaboration, respectively on the probability evaluation of the test results, respecing the statistical variability of material and geometrical parameters influencing the resulting resistance significantly.
