The fracture-mechanical parameters values of concrete, a quasi-brittle composite material, are determined from load-displacement diagrams on specimens with stress concentrators. The double-K model presents one of the suitable fracture models applicable to concrete. This model combines the concept of cohesive forces acting on the faces of the effective crack increment with a criterion based on the stress intensity factor.
