    Buckling resistance of steel tubular columns filled by high-strength concrete

  • Original language description

    This paper deals with research programme focused on behaviour of steel tubular columns filled by high-strength concrete. The research has been carried out in order to investigate the effect of the concrete strength and the yield stress of the steel tubeon the buckling resistance. Circular steel tubes filled by normal concrete and circular steel tubes filled by high-strength concrete have been taken into account within the solution. Experimental analysis is discussed and results of experimental analysisand corresponding numerical model are presented. In conclusion the behaviour of tubular columns filled by concrete is compared based on the results of experimental analysis. The behaviour of columns without concrete is included into comparison.
