Problems of behavior and analysis of glass structural members with respect to their application in load-carrying civil constructions
Original language description
The paper presents the information about several problems of the behavior and analysis of load-carrying structural members composed of structural glass. On authors workplace the attention is paid to the problems of limit states of various members of load-carrying glass structures in the last period. The analysis is directed towards the experimental verification of the actual behavior and objective resistance of glass structural members in connection with the theoretical analysis based on the numerical and analytical models. In the period of about two last decades, the series of loading tests of diverse glass structural members have been performed, usually based on the requirements of companies producing glass components for load-carrying structures. Most of those tested structural components were the plane members (panels) for the façade claddings. Other types of tested structural members were glass panels for the shelter structure of the bus station platform in several variants of gla
