The testing methodology of new developed steel temporary truss footbridge details in case of cyclic loading
Original language description
Recently, within the framework of research projects made by our Institute of Metal and Timber Structures in co-operation with company Vladimír Fišer and Technology Agency of the Czech Republic, they were designed and realized several loading tests of some selected details of new steel temporary through truss footbridge, which has 15.0 m span and consists of five 3.0 m length assembly units. The entire idea of these research projects is to develop new type of simply temporary footbridge, which can effectively create or replace a self-supporting way for pedestrians and cyclists in case of some events like reconstructions, building site, floods, etc. It should also be used as a permanent bridge, if needed. This paper brings some information about made experiments and their results, especially in case of cyclic loading.
