This paper analyzes development of real (Rx) and non-real (Xx) component of electrical impedance in environment with changing microparticles content. Microparticles content was changed during the process of soil solution sedimentation. Particle size distribution in the solution was quantified in different time intervals. Laboratory quantification of particle size distribution was performed in vertical line at levels of 6 cm, 12 cm and 18 cm above the bottom of the container. For measuring values of realand non-real component of electrical impedance at abovementioned levels, device Z-metr III was used. Results of such measurements showed a significant dependence between electrical impedance and content of microparticles smaller than 1 micrometer. Results have also demonstrated great potential for application of used device Z-metr III in basic and applied research.
