Modified compact tension test: Calibration curve for evaluating the crack growth
Original language description
Modeling of the fatique behavior of cementitious materials, such as concrete or other cement based composites is becoming a field of interest. Compact tension test is know for being used in testing of metallic materials. The modified version of this testis very suitable for testing of quasi-brittle materials, thanks to its geometry and the way of specimen loading. In this paper, the influence of the size of the specimen on biaxiality factor B1 is studied. The results are shown and discussed in graphs.
