Concrete-to-concrete interface shear behavior: Literature and Design Codes Review
Original language description
In this paper, extensive literature overview of concrete-to-concrete interface shear resistance is presented, from the earliest researchers, up to the most recent studies. Major design codes are also reviewed, including the newestfib Model Code 2010 which represents a huge milestone in shear resistance design. Design expressions for two critical limit situations are also shown and described. After over 50 years of research and several hundred shear tests performed, it could be seemed that the phenomenonof concrete-to-concrete interface load transfer has been extensively investigated. Still, further research is required to address some specifics, of which some crucial are discussed in this paper.
