Post-occupancy daylight study in high-rise building
Original language description
The post-occupancy study focused on evaluation of a newly constructed tall building influence on indoor visual climate as well as outdoor shadings was completed. Daylight simulations were carried out in software DesignBuilder. Indoor illuminance and luminance distributions were monitored on two floors simultaneously with external horizontal irradiance. Influence of the high-rise building on shading effect at the neighbouring buildings is also simulated in sun-path diagrams. The analysis of the measurements and simulation outputs gives overview about the real daylight levels in high-rise building located in the region with temperate climate and dominant partly cloudy and overcast sky conditions, Brno in the Czech Republic.
