Determination of Tensile Properties of Adhesive Systems Intended for Bonded Façade
Original language description
This contribution is focused on an experimental tests concerning a usage of composite materials with wooden elements as a sheathing of a vented façade system with bonded joints. The potential of bonded joints in combination with composite cladding material was studied and described in more detail as well as verified through experimental measurements. Two test methods, defined by relevant European standards, were adopted and modified. Firstly, the frost resistance of the test specimens was determined bysubjecting them to a cyclic action of freezing and thawing, i.e. immersion into a water bath at (20 ? 3) °C for 6 hours and subsequent freezing to (-20 ? 2) °C for 18 hours within 15 cycles. The second test method includes conditioning of all test specimens with sudden temperature changes, heating to (70 ? 3) °C and subsequent cooling to (20 ? 2) °C, within 25 cycles. Subsequently, the substructure bonding retention to the cladding and strength in shear in tension stress was verified. It
