The paper is focused on the mobile laser scanning data processing in software OPALS and validation of the quality of the Digital Terrain Model of the Czech Republic. Mobile laser scanning was carried out in the road environment of the Moravian Karst, with steep, rocky terrain. The tested area is around 900 m long and 90 m wide. Digital terrain model from mobile laser scanning data was created and compared with DMR 4G of the Czech Republic.
