    Influence of horizontal prestressing on masonry arch bridge

  • Original language description

    The article is aimed at verifying behaviour of a masonry arch bridge which was reconstructed twelve years ago. Bridge was chosen for the experiment because it was reinforced with additional prestressing (monostrands) and new spandrel walls. Strain of the arch was monitored by two ribs and deflection in mid-span was also recorded. Rusults of the loading test are verified with data from FEM model.
