Lighting and Daylighting Analysis with BIM
Original language description
The article is focused on current possibilities of lighting and daylighting analyses for buildings, especially rooms. New trends are using BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology for building designing and so it’s not just about designing or 3D modelling. BIM is applicable for various simulations and analysis. We compare standard designing procedures for illuminating calculations with procedure using BIM. Comparison is realized at one example model and results are verified with the requirements of Czech National Standards (ČSN (STN) 73 0580, ČSN 36 0020). Results of this article are an answer to question: „Is it possible to use BIM technology for national environment in lighting and daylighting analyses for buildings?“.
