Original language description
The paper deals with comparison of the construction activities and GDP at the na-tional level Czech Republic from the perspective of two different datasets. The analysis has been performed based on the data collected during 1998-2014 period in current and constant prices. Regression analysis and correlation coefficient have been applied in order to determine the dependence between gross domestic product and civil engineering production. Research re-sults have determined the highest value of the correlation coefficient for GDP and civil engi-neering activity in the total values for the whole Czech Republic in current prices. This strong dependence, however, was not confirmed at dataset of constatnt prices fully, these results show only medium dependence. This analysis also confirms different development of price levels na-tional economy and civil engineering production.
