Nonlinear analyses techniques for the assessment of the track-bridge iteraction
Original language description
The investigation of longitudinal loads and their influence on forces in continuous welded rails on bridge decks has been discussed intensively in the last 20 years. This was triggered by the 1995 UIC-recommendation 774-3R as well as by Eurocode 1 (EC-1) which provides information on loads on bridges, design methods and approaches. This paper aims to analyze the complex interaction between track and bridge deck using non-linear analysis techniques. In a wider sense, the objective is to propose improvements of the standardization routines where necessary.
