The measurement of water infiltration into soil

  • Original language description

Infiltration is the key process of the water cycle in nature. It is a process during which water infiltrates from the soil surface into depth at a certain time and at a certain velocity. Infiltration can be influenced not only by natural effects, but also by human activity, particularly by a bad agrotechnology. This paper describes the measurement of the course of water infiltration into soil using the method of a double-ring infiltrometer and the method of electrical impedance spectrometry (EIS) by means of a Z-meter device in field conditions.
