The measurement of the water level in the Hornice reservoir
Original language description
The knowledge of the water level in a reservoir can be required not only because of its best use, but also from the point of view of its safe operation. An inrush of water has been observed on the downstream face of the earth-fill embankment dam of the Hornice reservoir; it can be a result of its hydrodynamic stress, e.g. during floods, i.e. the fluctuation of the water level in the reservoir. This paper presents the issue of measurement of the water level in the reservoir and the method of electrical impedance spectrometry used for its measurement.
