    Low-Noise Wearing Courses in Urban Areas of Pardubice City

    Road transport has a significant impact on the environment. One of the major influences is noise. This paper is focused on the noise measurement of the pavements in Pardubice City (Czech Republic) urban areas. In recent years several experimental sites with different types of low-noise wearing courses have been paved in this city. These sites were measured with device which allows measuring the rolling noise according to the CPX method. Measurement also included the road section paved with standard asphalt mixture SMA 11. This asphalt mixture is most commonly used wearing course and therefore is included in this measurement as reference surface for assessment the effectiveness of low-noise wearing courses.
