Original language description
In this paper, experimental and numerical simulation of turbulent flow past four square-arranged cylinders have been carried out for an aspect ratio of L/D = 4.2 and P/D= 3.8. Different Reynolds numbers have been tested. Smooth cylinders and grooved ones are used. The effect of Reynolds numbers and the used grooves on the wake flow characteristics are investigated. The results show that the flow characteristics behind the four cylinders for all cases are significantly affected. Using grooves in the first row make the flow more stable.
