Influence of Technological Procedures on Mechanical Properties of Bonded Joint

  • Original language description

It would not be an exaggeration to say that adhesive joints have been an essential part of the construction industry for several decades now, and their use has become a suitable alternative in this industry as well. The current trends in modern architecture, which place emphasis on pure aesthetic expression, are also a major advantage. A suitable example is the realization of ventilated building envelope systems, where mainly mechanical fasteners are used despite the fact that they can cause deformation of the individual elements of the facade or cause the formation of oxidation stains on the facade cladding. By using the technology of bonded joints on the other hand, these problems can be avoided completely. A substantial disadvantage of bonded joints is, however, the very strict requirements for adherence to the technological procedures defined by the manufacturers of assembly systems. Even a slight deviation from the recommended application steps can have a significant effect on the integrity of th
