The effect of hydraulic conductivity by the tension infiltrometer on changes in electric impedance in diferent soil environment
Original language description
The technique of measuring electrical impedance has been found mainly in recent years to be used in the quantification of hydrological processes and water engineering engineering. It has been demonstrated that EIS (electrical impedance spectrometry) based methods can be advantageously used to quantify the volume humidity of porous materials. In hydrological research, it is mainly about the monitoring of the volume humidity of the soil environment. The possibilities of using EIS in hydrological research and engineering practice are wider. The paper presents the results of the experiment based on the impact assessment of the hydraulic conductivity measurements with a tensile infiltration meter on changes of electric impedance in different soil conditions. The aim of the experiment was to verify the assumption of a hypothesis on the basis of which the authors assume different electric impedance patterns in different porous environments and the possibility of using the EIS results in hydraulic conductivity measurements with a tensile infiltration meter, about the possibility of directly determining the saturated hydraulic conductivity by EIS. Extending research in this direction will provide a sufficiently broad database of results for the formulation of methodologies allowing the use of EIS methods to determine selected hydropedological characteristics of the soil environment.
