Effect of forest structure on precipitation infiltration
Original language description
This article shows pilot results from measurement of soil moisture in the different type forest stands. Results shows that better infiltration of rainfall occurs in the forest with deciduous trees dominance. The response to rain was reflected in the deciduous forest by reducing the resistance in the uppermost layers of soils by up to 45%. In the coniferous forest, the crash response was only a 1% reduction in resistance in the uppermost layers of soil.
