Assessment of treatment efficiency and optimization of operating of vertical flow filter bed on constructed wetland for 850 PE
Original language description
In the Czech Republic, the use of the vertical flow filter bed on municipal constructed wetlands is not so common compared to horizontal filters. The paper presents the new built vertical flow filter bed on the constructed wetland (hybrid system HF-VF) for 850 PE. This vertical filter is unique in Czech Republic due to its size and used technology. The aim of this study is describe the process of construction and optimization of operating the vertical flow filter bed and assess the removal efficiency for ammonia nitrogen (NH4+-N) and organic matter (COD) during period of years 2016-2018.
