Renovation of Flat Roofs without the Need to Remove the Existing Roof Deck
Original language description
The Authors prepare project ,,Renovation of flat roofs without the need to remove the existing roof deck’’. This issue is often solved in practice by an inappropriate addition of one more waterproofing layer without eliminating the cause. Unnecessary exchange of the whole roof cladding is burden for environment. The project takes into consideration all technical, ecological, as much as economical aspects and deals with evaluation of the currents state together with methodically conceived calculation proposal up to realization. The solution principle is based on the calculation procedure of W. van der Spoel, based on the point or line perforation, when diffusion-open termination of the new waterproofing layer allows expansion of the water vapor from the existing formation. If leads to the improvement of the thermal-technical properties of the original thermal insulation during a short time. We use a stationary program in the project commonly used in building practice and non-stationary program software is more common in the academic environment. We compare the results of both programs with the results measured experimentally in order to find the optimal tool for this type technology methodology in different model situations. The aim of the whole project is to create complex methodology enabling sophisticated approach to the design solution for the repair or renovation of roof deck without the need for their complete remove. The project leads to considerable cost saving and loads by reduce of ecological loads by landfilling or waste disposal. The authors will pass on methodology company Romex s.r.o. and put it into practice.
