Stochastic analysis of precast structural members failing in shear

  • Original language description

Shear performance of reinforced and prestressed concrete beams have been extensively studied over the last decades, but there is still a lack of clarity e.g. with respect to the effects of normal-shear force interaction and the material properties on the shear performance. Therefore, it was of high interest to shed more light on the normal-shear force interaction of wide-span prestressed reinforced concrete lightweight roof elements by means of innovative probabilistic numerical analyses and experimental testing. Extensive experimental studies on small specimens and scaled and full scale beams have been performed in order to comply the required information for complex material laws as they are implemented in advanced probabilistic nonlinear numerical analyses. The aim was to assess the variability of shear response. First whole procedure leading to final stochastic analysis is presented on the benchmark of scaled beam T30/150 V2, subsequently the results for final full-scale model of real size LDE7 TT precast roof girder were presented. It has been shown that developed procedure can be routinely used for modelling of other precast product.
