Original language description
This research is focused on the load-bearing capacity and the number of coupling elements in steel-concrete composite beams. The influence of the change of the input parameters of the beam, with special focus on the dimensions and materials of the steel profile and the concrete slab, was investigated. Furthemore, it was found out how the load-bearing capacity and the number of coupling elements will be affected by the change in the height and thickness of the shank, and the material of the shear stud itself. The results of this paper should serve as the input data for the next step of the research, where we consider the replacement of shear studs with blind bolts and thus achieving demountability of the structure at the end of its life.
