Optimisation of fatigue solution for welded T-stub joints by grading of FAT classes and correction of mean stress effect
Original language description
In this study, the fatigue strengths of the welded T-stub sections prepared from Strenx 700MC Plus and S355 steel were determined. Experiments were designed to evaluate the accuracy of the analytical solutions using the grading of fatigue classes and correction using the mean stress effect. The results of the experiments and analytical models were compared with those of the design solutions. Improvements to the model are discussed in this paper to improve knowledge on the behaviour of structural elements made of high-strength steel under highcycle fatigue.
