    This paper presents research on the hygroscopicity of wood-cement composites containing a by-product of cementbonded particleboard production. The behaviour and properties of wood-cement composites were analysed with respect to variable air humidity. The intention was to assess the suitability of the alternative raw material used in terms of volumetric changes. Emphasis was also placed on the verification of basic performance properties
