The paper presents the plane finite element (FE) cochlea model with the parameters developed to provide for its functionality and to realise the spectral decompo- sition of acoustic signals in the course of real time. The theory according to Békésy was applied to the construction of the model about acoustic waves running along the basilar membrane inside cochlea.
