An original numerical model of heat and mass transfer in a concasting machine
Original language description
Solving of solidification and cooling of continuously cast billet or slab and simultaneous heating of the crystallizer is impossible without numerical models of the temperature field. An original three-dimensional numerical model has been developed. It is capable of simulating the temperature field of a concasting machine as a whole, or any of its parts.
