Original language description
A real-like polycrystal with intergranular crack was successfully constructed on the basis of 2D metalographical cuts and the stereogrammetrical analysis of fracture surfaces of real material -- austenitic steel sample. The Voronoi tessellations generated by point cluster fields were used as a geometrical model for the real 3D grain boundary network. The similarity between artificial and real aggregate was documented by means of statistical, fractal and roughness parameters and by comparison between their grain boundary networks in 2D cuts.
