Response of concrete to the impact of fragments simulating projectiles

  • Original language description

The paper deals with the experimental reserch on responde of concrete blocks to the fragments simulating projectiles accelerated to the impact velocities up ro 1395 m/s. the results are interpreted using of some simple one-dimensional theories of penetration which were developed for the projectiles of shapes different from those used in our experiments. It has been found that the theory developed for the ogive-nose projectiles led to the best agreement with the experimental data.
